Before she could walk, native Cincinnatian Julia Mendelsohn grew up surrounded by design in her grandmother’s Frank Lloyd Wright home. Her passion for the arts lead her to study opera at Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and then to the Manhattan School of Music to complete her Masters in Opera in New York City. Julia pursued her opera career which lead her to Italy, the Berkshires, LA, Savannah, Chicago, and back home to Cincinnati.
After meeting her husband in Chicago, the couple decided to move to Cincinnati to be closer to family and friends. As she transitioned to her new home, Julia realized that interior design was the career she wanted to pursue.
Julia is currently completing her Interior Design Certificate at the Parsons School of Design in New York City, and is currently an independent designer who has worked with the design firm DIGS, and RH Cincinnati Gallery.
